Track and field enters its “final sprint” at the Tenerife Cabildo Games

The track and field events of the Cabildo de Tenerife Games came to a close last Saturday, May 14, at the Tenerife Athletics Center (CIAT). Nearly 400 athletes in the U-14 and U-16 age groups came together once again to enjoy the final day of this season’s competition in their favorite sport.

The U-14 athletes competed in the pole vault, javelin throw, and 5×80-meter relay, while the U-16 athletes competed in the pole vault, javelin throw, and 4×100-meter relay.

In addition, the top finishers from previous days competed on this final day, and some events that could not be held during the previous meet—such as the high jump and discus throw in the U-16 category—were held.

The sports event concluded at noon with the medal ceremony.
