Wednesday, 03 June 2026

The next edition of the race will feature several new additions, including a new 68-kilometer category; the extension of the 73k race, which will now be 82k; and a new 6.5-kilometer course for the Vertical Night Challenge, starting from Socorro Beach

The Tenerife Bluetrail by UTMB®, the trail race organized by the Tenerife Island Council through the public company Ideco, will open registration for its 2027 edition on June 8 via its official website. The race, which will take place from April 8 to 10, 2027, passing through 15 municipalities, will once again be part of the international UTMB® World Series circuit.

The registration process will take place in several phases. First, and on a priority and exclusive basis, runners who were already registered for the 2026 edition—which was suspended due to weather conditions—will be able to complete their registration. This registration period will run from June 8 at 10:00 a.m. until June 12 at 11:00 p.m.

Registration will then open on June 17 at 10:00 a.m. for athletes with a valid UTMB® Index, and finally, starting on June 19 at 10:00 a.m., the remaining participants will be able to register.

The Tenerife Bluetrail by UTMB® continues to establish itself as one of the premier mountain races on the international scene, and in 2027 it will take another step forward with the largest prize purse in its history: a total of 58,700 euros.

The next edition of the race will feature several new additions, including a new 68-kilometer category; the extension of the 73k race, which will now be 82k; and a new 6.5-kilometer course for the Vertical Night Challenge, starting from Socorro Beach.

Registration will remain open until March 10, 2027, or until all available spots are filled. As in previous years, those who register early will receive significant discounts, and there will be an additional 30% discount for athletes residing in the Canary Islands.
