The Island Council Allocates 2 Million to Support the Youth Programs of Tenerife’s Sports Organizations

The Tenerife Island Council, through its Sports Department, has approved the regulations and call for applications for financial grants intended to support the youth programs of Tenerife’s sports organizations in 2024, totaling 2,000,000 euros.

The guidelines and call for applications for these grants have already been published in the BOP, and the deadline for submitting applications is April 17, 2024.

Sports Minister Yolanda Moliné notes that “as a new development compared to previous calls for proposals, the budget has been increased by 30% compared to the 2023 budget, amounting to more than 500,000 euros.”

Moliné also points out that “the minimum number of licenses required for auto racing, motorcycle racing, and equestrian sports has been reduced, and the multiplier coefficients applied to them have also been adjusted. The goal is to further adapt the regulatory framework to the current reality of sports on the island. The Tenerife Island Council promotes and fosters grassroots sports.”
