New day of athletics at the Tenerife Island Council Games

The Tenerife Athletics Centre (CIAT) hosted another day of athletics competition last Saturday [the 20th] as part of the Tenerife Island Council Games, organized by the Island Council through its Sports Department.

The competition, which ran from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., brought together 440 participants from the southern region of the island at the facility managed by Ideco. Of these, 110 belonged to the CIAT Athletics School. All athletes participated in the athletic events while adhering to the preventative measures required by health authorities to avoid the spread of Covid-19. The previous week, athletes from the northern region competed under the same conditions.

The final day of athletics at the Tenerife Island Council Games benefited from the collaboration of several students from the CIAT Adult Education Center, who assisted with the organization of the various athletic events.
