The camp, which began on June 27, ends this week
A total of 292 children have enjoyed the summer at the Tenerife Athletics Center (CIAT) campus, which concludes next Friday, the 26th. During their stay, participants had the opportunity to take part in activities related to track and field and all its disciplines, such as running, jumping, and throwing, but they also were introduced to other sports such as pelota base, soccer, field hockey, and ultimate.
Popular and traditional games such as Canarian ball, bottle caps, sack races, marbles, and the game of “cogidas” also took center stage during the camp, which also included workshops on balloon twisting, recycling, painting, crafts, and environmental awareness. Field trips to the beach or hikes along a trail to learn basic navigation skills were among the other recreational activities held during the camp, which is now wrapping up until next year.
