Track and field wraps up the Cabildo Games this Saturday with the final day of “Jugando al Atletismo,” which will take place at the Tenerife Track and Field Center, the Cabildo facility managed by the public company Ideco.

About 300 athletes in the U-8, U-10, and U-12 age groups will gather on the track at 9:30 a.m. to take part in this competition, organized in collaboration with the Tenerife Island Athletics Federation.

“Playing Track and Field” is an activity with a more recreational than competitive focus, consisting of three stations that include a short run and a long run, the long jump and the mat jump, throwing events (indiaca or ball), and hurdles and low hurdles.

The Cabildo Games will hold their 30th day of competition this weekend, featuring nine sporting events spread across the island. In addition to track and field, there will be competitions in aquathlon, taekwondo, baseball, rugby, Canarian wrestling, beach handball, volleyball, and freestyle skating.
