Masks will only be mandatory in indoor spaces and while traveling.

The Tenerife Athletics Center (CIAT) has updated its COVID-19 regulations following the publication in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands (BOC) of the new regulations temporarily suspending restrictive measures for health protection and the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 applicable at the different levels of health alert.

From now on, children under 16 years of age may go without a mask on the outdoor track, but must always maintain a safe distance of 1.5 meters, an option already available to those over 16. Spectators in the stands may also remove their masks.

However, masks will remain mandatory upon entering and exiting the facility, in indoor areas (gym, cardio room, indoor track, changing rooms, and restrooms), and when moving between sports and non-sports areas.

The new measures also affect capacity limits, which are increased to 100% throughout the entire facility.

Athletes under 16 years of age may access the indoor track, although they must comply with all current regulations for this space. Children from schools may only access the track in groups of 10.
