The activities will take place in four periods between June 28 and September 3
The Tenerife Island Council is organizing a summer camp for children aged 5 to 13 at the Tenerife Athletics Center (CIAT), a facility managed by the public company IDECO. Activities will take place in four sessions, between June 28 and September 3, with small groups.
The Island Council’s Sports Councillor, Concepción Rivero, explains that “the camp will allow participants to enjoy a few days of fun outdoors while getting started in a sport as comprehensive as athletics.” Rivero details that this camp “has an anti-Covid protocol in accordance with the current health situation, which includes participant bubbles to minimize the risk of infection.”
The Tenerife Athletics Center’s summer camp offers four sessions: June 28 to July 15; July 19 to 30; August 2 to 13; and August 17 to September 3. Participants can also choose to attend a full month.
Camp participants will take part in various athletic activities, including running, jumping, and throwing events, as well as being introduced to traditional games and sports. Workshops and excursions to the beach and mountains will also be organized, where children will have the opportunity to hike along trails and learn basic orienteering skills.
The camp offers the option of having lunch at the facility, with two meal times: 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (with lunch) and 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (without lunch). Free early drop-off is also available from 7:30 a.m.
The prices for the summer camp will be €200 per two-week session (with meals) and €150 per session (without meals). If the stay is for a full five weeks, the total price will be €450 and €340, respectively. An additional discount is offered for siblings who register together.
Those interested in the camps can request more information by calling 922 61 53 38, where the Ciat customer service staff will explain the registration process.
