CIAT will be closed today due to the state of high alert

The Tenerife Athletics Center (CIAT) will be closed today, Monday, December 16, due to themaximum wind alert affecting the island of Tenerife.

The Canary Islands Government, through the General Directorate of Emergencies, is maintaining the maximum wind alert for today based on forecasts from the State Meteorological Agency.

This high alert affects part of the island of Tenerife, while the rest of the island remains on alert. Taking into account the recommendations from the Canary Islands Government’s Civil Protection Agency regarding avoiding travel unless absolutely necessary, the center’s administration has decided to close the facility and, therefore, suspend all activities while this situation continues.
