CIAT Hosts a Referee Clinic Organized by the Tenerife Island Basketball Federation

The Tenerife Island Basketball Federation (FIBT) held a refereeing clinic last weekend (September 20 and 21) at the Tenerife Athletics Center (CIAT), with more than 70 participants.

The opening ceremony was attended by Yolanda Moliné, the Sports Councilor for the Tenerife Island Council; Ángel Sabroso, Deputy Councilor for Physical Activity and Sports for the Canary Islands Government; Rafael González, President of the Tenerife Island Basketball Federation; and Roger Pinyol, Technical Referee Director of the FIBT.

During the training sessions, topics such as the quick inbounds pass, communication protocols, interactive play analysis, mental preparation, game control, illegal advance and blocking, and unsportsmanlike conduct and flopping were discussed, among other topics.
