The event was held at the Antonio Domínguez Alfonso Municipal Stadium in Los Cristianos
A total of 38 students from the CIAT School participated last Saturday, May 7, in the sixth and final day of the track and field events at the Tenerife Cabildo Games, held at the Antonio Domínguez Alfonso Municipal Stadium in Los Cristianos.
The event, called “Playing with Track and Field,” was aimed at various age groups, which had to complete three events. The U-8 athletes participated in a game of indiaca, a jumping event, and a 200-meter dash. Meanwhile, the under-10 category also competed in the long jump and the 500-meter dash, in addition to the vortex throw. Finally, the under-12 category focused on the javelin throw, the high jump, and the 500-meter dash.
The Tenerife Cabildo Games have established themselves as a valuable tool for promoting values such as education, inclusion, solidarity, discipline, equality, sustainability, and camaraderie, becoming a multisport event that introduces the values of competition to the island’s children and youth.
