One of the facilities is the Tenerife Athletics Center
The Tenerife Island Council has granted students enrolled in vocational training programs in physical activities and sports at the Virgen de Candelaria Comprehensive Vocational Training Center (CIFP) so they can complete the practical component of their training.
The island’s Sports Councilor, Concepción Rivero, emphasizes that “this collaboration between the island government—through the public company Ideco—and the school contributes to the practical training of those who will go on to teach sports in the future.”
Rivero adds that “the practical component is essential to teaching, as it brings students closer to their future work environment,” and states that “conducting it at two of the island’s most iconic sports facilities will help them deepen their learning and improve their skills in preparation for their future careers.”
Students at the Virgen de Candelaria School will be able to use the swimming pool and the tennis and padel courts at the Tenerife Santa Cruz-Ofra Sports Complex, as well as the track and field facilities and the gym at CIAT, during specific days and times.
