The CIAT Track and Field School has more than 300 athletes this season

The CIAT Track and Field School, which kicked off the 2023–2024 season this week, is hosting more than 300 athletes this season —including children and adults—divided into different groups on various days and at different times. Thus, a total of 231 children and 73 adults will be practicing track and field at the center.

This is a non-affiliated introductory school whose teaching methodology, for the youngest children, focuses on helping them acquire the basic skills of running, jumping, and throwing through games and physical exercises.

The school participates in the Tenerife Island Council Games competitions as a way to gain exposure to the competitive aspect and rules of the sport in an atmosphere of teamwork and collaboration. In addition, students at the adult school can participate in the Cabildo Masters Games to get started in competition and also have the opportunity to take part in other races held on the island.

Although spots are practically sold out, there are still a few available in certain groups and time slots. Those interested can call 922 61 53 38, where CIAT’s customer service staff will explain the procedure for completing registration.

The monthly registration fee for the school ranges from 18.50 to 27.25 euros, depending on the number of weekly training hours, with a 16% discount if several siblings sign up.
