The application period for travel grants to attend sports competitions is now open

The Tenerife Island Council has opened the application period for travel assistance grants, which are intended to cover expenses for lodging, meals, and domestic transportation for participation in official national and international competitions. These grants are available to individual athletes, clubs, and federations for the period from May 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023.

The budget allocation for this call for proposals amounts to 460,000 euros.

The Sports Minister, Yolanda Moliné, reminds everyone that the application period begins and ends on January 22.

Yolanda Moliné points out that “the Sports Administrative Service has taken steps to bring this grant program up to date, which had been delayed for nearly a year. I appreciate the effort the staff is making. This allows our athletes—both individuals and clubs and federations—to access the funding they need to cover the costs of participating in official national and international competitions as soon as possible.”
